Assistance Bags

Every year the people of St. Bart's donate thousands of items to make St. Bart's Assistance Bags. We gather the items during the summer and then on St. Bart's Day in late August, we all pitch in to assemble individual bags.

Parishioners are invited to keep bags in their cars and hand them out to people in need. We also distribute Assistance Bags to people to come to the church during the week.

Each year we make and distribute over 800 St. Bart's Assistance Bags - each bag is handed directly to a person in need. Our goal is to not only provide some food, but to also offer a kind word. Information about the St. Bart's Food Pantry is also included in each Assistance Bag.
